Seems that there is no more private chat in mw2 unless your in a private game. Hella f'ed up man.

No you can still private chat in TDM and other game types that aren't tactical. IT's just so friends can't be on opposite teams and tell eachother the enemies location.

I think it's awesome, it forces you to be a team with the team your put on. Of course I think I would rather talk to someone I know rather than randoms, but hey, the MP looks awesome so far. Been watching live streams of people playing MP on websites like justin.tv and ustream.tv. If anyone wants the urls to the ones I watch, just ask!

Yeah but if I want to talk to a friend while he/she is playing another game and I am on MW2 and I decide to play demolition then we can't talk therefore forcing me to play a gametype I don't want to play or I have to play another game.

Then why pick the gametype if you don't want to play it O.o. Oh you mean force you to pick a different gametype, oohh. You can't go wrong with TDM though cause you can still use party chat in there.

Yeah but sometimes I don't like to play it and I would rather play some search and talk to friends when i die and I won't be able to do that now it looks like i will just have to load up some soundboards to mess with people.

Just another reason I'll rarely be playing S&D.

There was nothing wrong with Xbox Live or COD4 BEFORE this whole thing was created, so I dont see a problem here

I want to add this to my post, while I can live with it being off and will still play any everything, I DO however, find it annoying that people who use the feature for its intended use (talking to friends on other games, etc...) are losing it because a small minority of assholes constantly use it to "Cheat" on games (I use quotes because i really dont think its that big of a deal, like, who seriously fucking cares, ill have to add the people that bitch and moan enough to make this a problem, to the cause of THIS problem)

Now im not making sense cause im rambling, but I think you guys get my point, so ill leave it at that

I actually think it has to do with team killers. Cause most of the time in hardcore a teamkiller usually has friends on the other team. I see it all the time when there's a clan that's been split up, hell we've done it more than a few times lol. But yeah, they already fixed team killing. From what I understand from watching live MP feeds, is that the team has about 10 seconds of richochet damage, so if said team killer tries his antics, he'll just end up killin himself. This is like the best thing IW came up with IMO lol.
