I dont know if you guys have it or not, but at my Futureshops and Best Buys, you can get a 80GB PS3 for $300 (Till the end of the month)

Yes the but the new one will be smaller use less electricity and have a 120GB HDD.

You can use Normal PC Harddrives in the PS3, so for $100 you can have a 500GB PS3

Im assuming you can get even bigger harddrives for even less on Ebay

But I can have a newer better cooler PS3 with a 120GB HDD instead of having to pay $300 for a Space Heater and then $100 for a bigger HDD.

Exactly! if you still want another hard drive it'd still be smarter to buy the slim cause you'll get an extra 40 gb with it. Not to mention all the things Rellik just mentioned. They might as well just make the fatter ones $200 now since if people are smart they'd spend $300 on the smaller version rather than the fatter counterpart.
